As usual, Senetto tells an oversimplified version of this story, out of context and with misrepresentations.

And so it goes.

Jim says there is more to the tale of the disappearing wife than has been told. Obviously his story is going to be oversimplified.

Here is the story in detail (from Will Donkey's numerous autobiographical recountings of it):

1) Will and Kathy were living in separate "homes." Kathy and Clay were living with her parents, and Will was squatting in the washroom of the local lumber yard where he worked.
2) Kathy was working as a waitress and supporting herself and Clay.
3) Will was spending his paycheck on alcohol and drugs.
4) One night, Will invited Kathy to meet him at the lumber yard after her waitressing shift so that they could drop acid together.
5) Kathy never showed up for their date.
6) Will got worried and "looked all over" the town for her.
7) Will reported her to the police as a missing person, and was brought in to identify the body of a dead woman found on the railroad tracks.
8) Several months later, Will found out that Kathy was in a mental hospital when his in-laws contacted his insurance carrier with the bills.

9) Kathy's story was that she had gone to the home of a co-worker and her boyfriend/husband, and that the three of them planned on moving to Texas where she would live under an assumed name.

The question is not one of "Did she run away?" Her plans to move to Texas under an assumed name make that blatantly obvious.

The real question is one of "Why would a young mother run away, leave her child behind, and plan to relocate to another state under an assumed name?"

I think that the answer (the missing part of the story) is equally obvious: she had to get away from her abusive husband.

Will Donkey is free to set the record straight by correcting any errors in the above recount.

Senetto also gets the details wrong, like you do, Pendragon.

No, not my story but rather your misrepresentations of my story.

No, you already get the story wrong from the start, Pendragon.

Your other lies and misrepresentations are snipped.

And so it goes.

> No, you already get the story wrong from the start, Pendragon.

Here's your latest revision:

"I'll have to set the date for sure, but in the early days of December 1981, K never made it home from work that night (from her job just across the street, at Old Hickory House BBQ, Piedmont Road), ...I wound up crashing with friends and sleeping at the break room of the lumber yard..."

It's unclear whether you were sleeping in the lumber yard before K disappeared or immediately after in the above: however, in your "pretty colors" story, you had invited her to drop acid with you at the lumber yard where you were squatting, so you had to have been there *before* she ran away.

You were seeing Tina in the summer of 1981, so Kathy would have run away (again) shortly after your reconciliation.

"In 1981 when I was living there in Atlanta, my girl friend Tina worked at Varsity Jr. off Cheshire Bridge Road. It was a true "Whattaya Have?" Summer.."

Sifting through your garbled, incoherent "autobiography," it would appear that you had been living with Tina in the summer of 1981, when Kathy returned with Clay wanting to get back together. It is unclear if you were still married at the time, as you refer to her as your "ex-wife" in a later passage from your "autobiography" set in 1980.

Again, the dates in your rambling "autobiography" are unclear. In this passage, you list your "constructive eviction" as having been both in the summer of 1981 and in November of that same year:

"In the Summer of 1981 the constructive eviction happened, I was living with my wife Katherine, room mate named Tina, and my young son. Moved out of there to the apartment where the story Jim is questioning me about took place, around November of 1981."

Unless November is considered "summer" in Georgia, something isn't adding up.

According to Tina, you had been planning on running off to Canada together (apparently to avoid having to pay child support), but that after Kathy returned, you ended your relationship with her (on bad terms).

At this point (apparently autumn of 1981), you learned that "one of Kathy's grandmother's rental properties had become available again," so you decided to opt out of your current apartment via a "constructive eviction" (that is, not paying your rent and effectively squatting there).

You and Kathy and Clay then moved into her grandmother's apartment, but it burned down due to faulty wiring. Kathy and Clay moved in with her grandmother, while you were squatting in the back room of the lumber yard where you worked.

Here you claim that Kathy vanished "right after Halloween":

"The part of the story you probably don't know is we moved out of those La Maison Apartments, owing at least two months of rent (since none of us ever paid rent!) (which was like $365 a month utilities not included!) into her grandmother's house, and then right after Halloween she just vanished, like she was kidneapped."

This must be the part where George is getting the mistaken idea that she had been forcibly detained. His reading comprehension is only marginally better than your own.

> Your other lies and misrepresentations are snipped.

The only arguable "misrepresentation" I'd made in the above was that I didn't specify that Kathy was living with her parents or grandparents (your autobiography is unclear on this point) at the time of her disappearance.

You list her disappearance as having lasted "about a month": "For about a month she was just gone, and the police couldn't help me at all, she was just gone."

This would place her disappearance from "right after Halloween" until the end of November/early December. However, in an earlier passage, you'd claimed that both your move and her disappearance took place in December:

"...and one afternoon my Brother Dave drove up from Columbus in his pick up truck, we loaded all our meager belongings and moved to 590 Sherwood Road, K's grandmother's house, with the apartment in back (where we had been living the year before, 1980, though such events as the killing of John Lennon, and so much more). I'll have to set the date for sure, but in the early days of December 1981, K never made it home from work that night..."

According to what I can make of this incoherent, run-on mess, you and Brother Dave spent the day moving your belongings into her grandmother's apartment while she worked, but that she never returned home that same night.

This would move her disappearance from approximately 11/1/1981-11/30/1981 to 12/1/1981-early January, 1982. In fact, you have her disappearance overlapping both Christmas 1981 and New Year's 1982:

"At some point Christmas and New Years passed... for some reason those days are blanked out of my mind for 1981 - I must have partied..."

Nothing like partying for at least a straight week to celebrate your wife's disappearance!

You next confuse the year:

"Then, crazy thing, her grandmother's house burned down, her grandmother and father moved into an apartment and I slept at the brak room at the lumber yard I worked at. This was around Christmas and New Years of 1983, after that Summer I knew you (Tina)."

Again, it's unlcear whether you were squatting in the "brak" [sic] room of the lumber yard on the night of her disappearance, or shortly thereafter -- however, your "pretty colors" story makes it clear that you were there the night of her disappearance.

You then change your story that her disappearance had lasted for about a month:

"It took a couple of months to finally find her..."

Here's your description of what actually happened to her:

"I never got the whole story but I think the 'kidnapping' was Melody and Andy Hernandez taking her to their house instead of home where I was waiting. I found out later they had a U-Haul packed to go back to Texas and were going to take Kathy with them, when Kathy's sister came up with the police and got her from them, and had her checked in the mental institution. And nobody felt like I was worth telling any of this, of course."

You keep to the "couple of months" story below, so the best guess one can make is that she disappeared from early November 1981 - early January 1982.

"So after a couple of months of her being just missing, and nobody told me, her father or grandfather, or the Police, who I feel should have been the ones to tell me. I kind of thought she might have been killed by then, and kind of just settled with that idea."

Hmm... over the course of a two month period, you partied so much that you "blanked out" your awareness of Christmas and New Year's passing; then accepted the thought that she had probably been killed.

Lovely.

Again, the question of *why* she planned on running off to Texas with her co-worker and her co-worker's husband is the one that needs to be answered.

Let us bear in mind that you always place "kidnapped" in quotation marks, indicating that she had not been forcibly abducted/detained, as George Dance would have it.

Also, since you say that "Kathy's sister came up with the police and got her from them, and had her checked in the mental institution," it's clear that she was not no kidnapping had occurred -- as that would have resulted in Melody and Andy Hernandez's arrest.

So, why did she do it?

Your claim is that "she was blanked out crazy...".

But if that were the case, why didn't Melody and Andy contact her parents?

No, the only scenario that makes any sense is that she had shown up to work black and blue, and Melody decided to save her from her abusive husband.

> And so it goes.

Which looks correct.

> "I'll have to set the date for sure, but in the early days of December 1981, K never made it home from work that night (from her job just across the street, at Old Hickory House BBQ, Piedmont Road)

This was just across from 590 Sherwood Road, a kind of triangle formed by Sherwood, Monroe Drive and Piedmont Road, with the small Sherwood Park in the middle of the three streets, with a row of businesses along Piedmont Road, including the BBQ joint where Katherine worked.

Later:

> I wound up crashing with friends and sleeping at the break room of the lumber yard..."

It seems quite clear but there's a least a couple more poems or songs yet to come detailing those days/weeks.

> whether you were sleeping in the lumber yard before K disappeared or immediately after

After.

That's what "I wound up..." means.

This was in late 1981, and some of the story is yet to be told.

> however, in your "pretty colors" story, you had invited her to drop acid with you at the lumber yard where you were squatting, so you had to have been there *before* she ran away.

No, at our apartment, not the lumber yard.

That event happened in late 1981, as often stated.

> "In 1981 when I was living there in Atlanta, my girl friend Tina worked at Varsity Jr. off Cheshire Bridge Road

That's correct, Summer of 1981.

> it would appear that you had been living with Tina in the summer of 1981,

That's correct, again, Summer of 1981.

> when Kathy returned with Clay wanting to get back together. It is unclear if you were still married at the time

Yes, I was married during this time.

> Again, the dates in your rambling "autobiography" are unclear

See the timeline given below.

> "In the Summer of 1981 the constructive eviction happened, I was living with my wife Katherine, room mate named Tina, and my young son. Moved out of there to the apartment where the story Jim is questioning me about took place, around November of 1981."

> Unless November is considered "summer" in Georgia, something isn't adding up

It adds up fine.

A quick 1980-1981 timeline:

Spring 1980:

Lived in Columbus Georgia at Spring Circle and later 13th Avenue.

Summer/Fall 1980

Lived in Columbus, then moved to Atlanta.

Winter 1980:

Atlanta.

Spring 1981:

Rooming house on Piedmont Road.

Summer/Fall 1981:

La Maison Apartments off Cheshire Bridge Road, Atlanta then Sherwood Road.

Winter 1981-1982:

Friends sofas, limber yard break room.

Spring 1982:

Orme Circle, near Piedmont Park.

Summer 1982:

Rose Briar Apartments.

Fall 1982:

Darlington Apartment #634.

Winter 1982:

House in Peachtree-Battle neighborhood.

Spring 1983:

Back to Columbus Georgia.

Some but not all of this timeline has been chronicled in poetry and song, but not all of it, yet.

Snipped for brevity, stay tuned for more details and corrections.

No... contextually, it means *after the fire.*

None of which have any bearing on the subject except for the following:

Summer/Fall 1981:

La Maison Apartments off Cheshire Bridge Road, Atlanta then Sherwood Road.

Winter 1981-1982:
Friends sofas, limber yard break room.

Apparently the only "misrepresentation"/"lie" you were able to find in my version of the story was my having placed the time you spent squatting in the lumber yard prior to (and during), Kathy's disappearance, when you didn't start squatting there until shortly after she had disappeared.

Glad that we've cleared all this up.

I haven't gone over and responded to your entire post, Pendragon, but your version of the events is usually filled with lies and misrepresentations, Pendragon.

I'll be correcting those and setting the record straight in this thread.

HTH and HAND.

Yes I have, a dozen times.

Katherine and I were divorced, and she passed away, but I wouldn't call either of those actions running.

So, Senetto, how did the mother of your son leave you?

Did /she/ divorce you, die... or run away?

Since you are so obsessed with the details of my life, why not tell yours?

He has, Donkey. If you're interested in finding out, I suggest you try reading his poetry.

That was not a comment. Certainly not a comment based on your original posting.
Nor did I read it. I "snipped" it. In Usenet slang, that means I deleted it without reading, generally due to length or lack of substance.
You can attempt to feed your ego as much as you want, Dockery, but in this case it is nothing but empty calories. Fuck off.
