No, what I needed to know was whether the poem was *posted* by Dan Barfly, or by someone else who may have edited it.

However, you have already explained that the wonky ellipses and incomplete sentences were posted exactly as Barfly had written them.

As I'd suspected, Dan's (negative) influence on your writing style can now be directly traced.

You could have figured that out from the first post, where it reads:

"Andrew Roller wrote:"

HTH and HAND.

Not entirely.

The elliptic culprit was either Dan Barf(fly) or Andrew Roller.

The question remains as to whether Roller copied Barf's ellipses as set by the author, or whether he sloppily added on the extras.

Unless Will wants to scan/post a photo of the chapbook page to his Pinterest account, the mystery will not be resolved.

A new poem from Dan Barfield:

******************

https://mdbarfield.blogspot.com/2023/10/sidewalk-cafe.html

Sidewalk Cafe

Sidewalk cafe,

Sailboats floating

like-

White swans floating-

Coconut palms

Crystal water

Soft Spanish

Old fort.

Gray walls.

Rusty cannons.

Dark eyed girls

Golden skin.

Shy smiles

Laughing children.

Old men sit

Cigar smoke

and

Dominoes.

-Dan Barfield

********************

Enjoy...!
