They have a matte option, which looks like somebody got a dozen rattle
cans of primer, and this is the most expensive paint!

There used to be a stinger around here finished in matte aqua. Sounds
disgusting but looked quite good.

Not a fan of matte paint on cars.
I just had my Boxster polished and ceramic coated, rained the last time
I drove it so I thought that I would have to wash it but it still looks
spotless, the water and dirt just fall off.
Also dust doesn't stick to the paint anymore.

Me either.

Hyundai had a model out with a matt gunmetal finish some years ago, and
when we were buying out last Santa Fe I remember looking at one in the
showroom. The Salesman threatened to cut my head off and shit down the
hole in my neck if I touched it as doing do left finger print marks that
were apparently an absolute pig to remove.

That and the fact that it looked positively shithouse was enough to
convince me that I never wanted it :)

It's worthwhile having done if you can find someone who does it
properly. Many don't unfortunately.

Both my sons have had cars paint corrected, polished and ceramic coated
by the bloke who did mine so I knew how good he was, not cheap but very
happy with the result.

I got quoted $900 to ceramic coat a 12g under and over shotty. I'd
shudder to hear what your car cost... :-)
