I thought Petz would rush out to get one of those.
But it seems in fine print, it needs to average 16 pixels to get a
decent photo. That would increase S/N ratio 4x, but means it is really a
12.5 megapixel resolution.
Xiaomi also have a phone with this 200 meggs sensor. That offers 16 and
4 pixel averaging as well as raw pixels. I presume Motorola also has the
pixel trade-off options.

My motorola has 4 lens one for distance one for centre, one for close
up, one for wide angle. The camera then stiches all snaps together.
Take a bit of time, seconds.
Total size is 48 meg
48 MP, f/1.7, 26mm (wide), 1/2.0", 0.8µm, PDAF
8 MP, f/2.2, 118° (ultrawide), 1.12µm
5 MP, (macro), AF
2 MP, (depth)
Any rate the photos look acceptable to me

Why bother averaging 16 pixels when you could have one pixel 16x the
size for much less money? Just a ploy to attract the ignorant.

What is happening with My Motorola is 48 megapixels 4 lens) is they
provide multiple lens for depth of field enhancment each of lens uses
16 meg then the phones computer stitchs all snaps together.
Takes a slight bit of time, seconds.
Panorama shots use all 48 meg
Total size is 48 meg

Also, a decent photo requires HDR which is the main reason for the
"three lenses", very much required for rapid snapshots by ordinary
snapshooters. Use of mega-pixel sensors might require a tripod of
super-expensive f0.2 lenses.
