Why did the backgammon player think a PR of 3.1 overly flattered his play?
Because, according to the XG analysis, he blundered on his second roll!

I think I played the rest of the game perfectly. It's a good illustration of
why assessments shouldn't be made on PR alone. Everyone knows that
someone blundering on the 2nd roll doesn't know anything.

My PR has been around 7 lately which is strange because in youtube
videos when I see others playing with a PR of 7, they always seem to
be playing atrociously.
