Hi,

some of you already asked myself or here what has happened to
krautrelay. The short answer is: It's gone.

The longer answer: The server was operated based on donations and since
quite some time no new money came in. So I decided to quit the contract
half a year ago. However I forgot to send a notice in advance.
Apologies.

The server won't come back in the next months. I plan a new campaign in
mid-year. If enough people giving donations, a new machine will come
online.

However I have another two machines were I plan to run Mixmaster and
some other services. The only thing which is currently missing is time
to set it up …

Usually I rent them. The cheapest virtual servers are around 40 € per
year. If you spend around 100 € per year you'll find several offers.
When you decide for a dedicated machine the costs start around 450 € per
year. Building and buying an own server usually costs a bit more and
takes more effort.
