In Configurator > Nym Accounts, nym account data can be exported,
including mantra's.

This means a snooper could gain access to your PC and export your nym
data, then install it on his own OmniMix?

Yes, assuming they knew about the existence of OmniMix and your nyms. So
be responsible and protect your PC - from your friends.

When you export your private key in gpg you must enter a pwd. OM could
use this for better security.

Isn't it careless to run software like Omnimix with all its sensitive
data in an environment that's not password secured as a whole?

There is little "sensitive data" stored in OmniMix unless you are using
nyms.

OmniMix can also be run from a flashdrive or SD card. Run it, remove it,
secure it.

Therefore it would be more important to protect the client application,
which anyway holds all i/o traffic including nym messages unencrypted.

Yes, together with your portable mail / Usenet client and its data.

If you use SD cards, this is economical and works very well. It shows
all slots, not just one. Put an SD card in the slot, install another
one in an adapter and insert it in the slot on the other side to make a
backup copy. Enable caching for best performance. $14.99, $12.74 if
you have a prime account.
