Or for now a public Bitmessage email Gateway, so that users can
send via an registered Bitmessage address outfiles through current
smtp(s) Mixnets to not need a regular email address or Nym account
for a.a.m.

Well, that can be done easily, because the Gateway software is available
in Python or Golang at GitHub, thus avoiding Bitcoin payments for mailchuck.

The only thing to be tested is if these packages require the same procmail
receipe I used for mailchuck.

Stefan

I don't think so.

I think that Mixmaster remailers could talk to each other through Tor --
I have some ideas on how to do this -- and still send email from the
exit just like they do today.

I'm actually thinking slightly differently.

It seems as if Tor has some functionality to cause *.onion (et al.) to
resolve to virtual IPs that it can then handle connections to.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to combine this with a few other
things so that Sendmail / Postfix, or anything else on the system, can
(more) transparently utilize Tor. Then tell Sendmail / Postfix to use
the named .onion host as the email server for a given remailer address.

The SMTPRelay seems like it might be somewhat simpler to do, but would
*ONLY* work for the remailer. Conversely what I'm thinking would allow
anything on the system to benefit from Tor.

I'm going to continue running my server the way that I do. Either use
